WE OFFER A FREE CCTV INSPECTION WITH EVERY DRAIN UNBLOCK
It all starts with a blocked drain...
Friday Evening Emergency Drain Unblock – Penistone, Barnsley
A cold, dark Friday evening in Penistone, Barnsley, and our customer was facing the prospect of spending the entire weekend without working facilities.
She explained that the drain had blocked on several occasions previously, so rather than simply getting things flowing again and leaving, we wanted to understand why the problem kept coming back.
We cleared the blockage and carried out a CCTV inspection of the affected drain, which allowed us to locate the underlying problem: a displaced pipe joint.
The customer had her facilities back in use for the weekend, and we arranged to return the following Monday to carry out the necessary repair and address the cause of the recurring blockage.
At Blocked Drain Group, our aim isn't just to unblock your drain. Where possible, we'll investigate what's causing the problem and explain what can be done to stop it happening again.
Sometimes an unblock solves the problem. Sometimes it reveals the problem. We can help with both.
A Permanent No-Dig Solution
We returned to the property the following Monday as promised to repair the displaced joint we had identified during our CCTV inspection.
Fortunately, the defect was suitable for a no-dig patch liner repair, allowing us to repair and reinforce the damaged section from inside the existing drain without the need for excavation.
Once installed and cured, the patch created a strong, sealed repair over the defective joint, addressing the underlying cause of the customer's recurring blockages.
Sadly, we haven't heard from this customer since — but when you work in drainage, that's usually a good thing!
We can only imagine the repair has done exactly what it was intended to do and the recurring drainage problems have finally been resolved.
